Match Report: Hype Train FC

Date: Saturday 26th October 2024

Competition: EBFL Presidents Cup - Round 1

Opposition: Slough Heating FC Reserves

Location: Waingels College, Woodley, Reading, RG5 4RF

Final Score: Hype Train FC 0-2 Slough Heating FC Reserves

Match Report:

The Train's encounter against Slough Heating was our 9th fixture of the 2024/25 season in the East Berkshire Football League, with the team competing in the EBFL Presidents Cup, a cup competition featuring teams from EBFL Division One. This was our first ever competitive encounter against Slough Heating, having played them twice in pre-season matches in 2019 and 2020.

A goal in either half by the visitors secured passage to the quarter-finals of the Presidents Cup in a competitive game, which featured Jamie Halsall making a handful of incredible saves to keep the team alive in the team, whilst our best chances fell to Mitchell Saunders, though we weren't able to cause too much trouble on the opposition goal - best of luck to Slough Heating in the competition.
